Q. What is Jym™?

Jym is the perfect low-impact total body workout to receive amazing results for both general exercise and rehabilitation and is fun and easy to do for all ages and fitness groups.

Jym combines isometric and static exercises using your body's own resistance all in one revolutionary and compact machine to strengthen and tone muscles and reduce pain and strain on joints. Your Jym can be used for isolated therapy on problem areas, through to whole body workouts. But what is Isometric Exercise?

"Isometric Exercise is where you contract a muscle using resistance but there is no joint movement-
such as pushing against a wall or holding a weight in one place. Depending on the goal of the exercise,
the exertion can be maximal, or sub-maximal."


Q. Who can benefit from Jym Exercise?

Jym is so easy to use nearly any person who wants to improve their health and wellbeing can benefit. Jym provides positive results with easy to do workout regimes, whether you are laying in bed or on a workout mat. Jym is the new and safe way to exercise with no dangerous gym equipment.


Q. Can people with arthritis use Jym?

In isometric exercise you tighten your muscles, but don't move your joints. This helps build your muscles without moving painful joints. Specific strengthening exercises can be done for different joints. These should ONLY be done if they are comfortable and if you have questions about whether you should be doing these exercises please contact your physician.


Q. Which body parts can benefit from using Jym?

Jym can be used for a total body workout or can be used on isolated areas.


Q. Is Jym Portable?

Jym has been designed to fit easily into a small carry bag allowing it to be used at home, office, hotels or even in a vehicle as a passenger (of course while not driving though).


Q. Can I do other exercises that don't involve resistance/isometrics?

Jym is a very versatile exercise machine. Not only is it designed for resistance exercise but it can be used for aerobic workouts. Use Jym to test and build muscle strength or use one of the five modes to enhance other exercise routines.


Q. Is Jym™ safe?

Jym is a low-intensity, personalised therapy. If your physician has placed limits on your physical activity we recommend that you consult them before beginning any therapy using Jym.


Q. How long does a workout take?

Jym workouts can vary from targeted rehabilitation therapy through to whole body workouts so your routine can be short (5 mins) to an hour long workout. There is no way we can put a time on your workout but using Jym's timer function/mode will keep you aware off how long you have been working out for.


Q. How strong am I?

Jym is not psychic but a few minutes using Jym will tell you exactly how strong each muscle is.


Q. Can I use Jym to relieve stress?

Jym can be used for progressive muscular relaxation, and can be done with nearly every muscle group in your body. Using Jym creates blood flow and because acute muscle tension is followed by relaxation when you release whatever muscle area you're working on, this stress management exercise can flush out a huge amount of muscle tension from your head to your toes.


Q. How much force can Jym handle?

Jym has been built to be strong and has eight different force gauges to measure your strength. Jym can handle force up to 200kg/440lb.


Q. Can more than one person use my Jym™?

Yes! Jym is design so multiple people can use the one unit.


Q. How long will my Jym™ last?

Jym has been designed with an active lifestyle in mind, so you will have years of use with the device.


Q. Can Jym be used from a wheelchair or bed?

Many Jym exercises can be done in a wheelchair or seating position. Jym can be used practically anywhere. Where will you use yours?
